FOOD DONATION: Please support ALIVE! , a nonprofit organization serving Alexandria's needy, by donating two nonperishable food items (cans, boxes) on race day.

SPONSORS: Del Ray Business Association and the DC Road Runners Club. Additional sponsorship by dozens of local merchants and civic-minded individuals.

COURSE: Flat, fast, USATF-certified course, starts and ends at Cora Kelly Rec Center. (Course map PDF.) Conducted by the DC Road Runners Club.

CHIP TIMING: NEW! Starting this year we'll use Chronotrack, a state-of-the-art disposable chip timing system used by the Marine Corps Marathon and many other large races. This will eliminate the need for finish line chutes and bib tear tags.

MINORS: Need signed parental consent form, available here and on race day.

AWARDS: $1000 split by 1st, 2nd, 3rd place overall M+F, plus 1st place M+F masters. Other valuable prizes to 1st, 2nd, 3rd place age group winners. $100 bonus for new course record!

DIRECTIONS: From DC: I-395 south to Rt 1 south (opposite Pentagon). Go 2 miles to Potomac Yard shopping center, right on Reed Ave, 0.3 miles to Cora Kelly. From Springfield: I-395 to Glebe Rd/Rt 120 east. Quick right onto W. Glebe Rd (just past Slavins Fish Market). After Alexandria VW, left on Commonwealth Ave., one block to Cora Kelly.
